Diaper Ducks

6 months – 24 months

This is a water introduction class that helps your child develop a foundation of swimming skills that last for life. Some of the activities parent and child will work on are bubble blowing, submersions, back floats, etc. Let us help you enjoy your little one in the water.

– Parent in water with child
– Introduce submersions
– Blowing bubbles
– Swim off float from instructor to parent
– Froggy dive, roll over on back w/ assistance
– Jump in pool, turn, swim back to wall w/ assistance
– Monkey walks on the pool wall

Seahorse

This class is for the child with minimal water experience or who may still be nervous in the water. We start to learn the basic skills at this level. This level is always semi-private.

– Happy in class
– Blowing bubbles
– Opens eyes underwater
– Monkey walk on wall, climb out w/ assistance
– Teacher assisted back float
– Big arms and hups w/ assistance
– Swim 3 ft. to wall or step w/ assistance
– Big kicks w/ fins

Turtle

This class is for the child who has previous water experience. The child must be comfortable in the water and able to go under water without hesitation. We will work on arm strokes, rolling over, big kicks and back floating.

– Floats and rolls over w/ assistance
– Swims 3 ft. – 5 ft. with big arms and hups unassisted
– Back float with minimal assistance
– Froggy dive roll to back w/ assistance
– Big kicks w/ fins on kickboard

Goldfish

This class is for the child who has some independence in the water. We work on arm strokes and breaths. We introduce breaststroke at this level.

– Superman glide with face in water
– Swims 5 ft. or longer to wall or steps w/ big arms and hups unassisted
– Back float unassisted
– Froggy dive roll to back w/ assistance
– Big kicks w/ fins on kickboard
– Monkey walks on wall, climbs out unassisted
– Jumps in returns to wall unassisted
– Frog stroke (Breast Stroke)

Seal

This class is for the child who can swim the width of the pool and who is independent on their backs. We will continue to work on freestyle and introduce side breathing as well as backstroke.

– Back float to 5 unassisted
– Rollovers front to back,back to front unassisted
– Hups unassisted
– Big arms and consecutive breats w/ assistance
– Frog stroke w/ hups
– Side breathing w/ assistance

Frog

This class is for the child who does freestyle with side breathing, breaststroke as well as backstroke. We continue to fine tune stroke techniques. We introduce butterfly and sholow knee dives at this level.

– (10) Bobs
– Swims pool width w/ big arms and hups
– Rolls over to back and floats unassisted
– Takes 2 or more consecutive side breaths
– Coordinates frog stroke arms and legs
– Front kneeling dive w/ assistance
– Backstroke

Octopus

This class is for the child who does freestyle and breaststroke comfortably. We introduce treading water and racing dives at this level.

– Freestyle w/ coordinating side breathing
– Breast stroke w/coordination
– Butterfly w/ coordination
– Backstroke w/ coordination
– Treads water for 1 minute
– Elementary back stroke length of pool
– Dives w/ underwater swimming and treads or floats
– Racing dives

Whale

This class perfects the child’s ability to surface dive with underwater swimming as well as the butterfly.

Recreational Swim Team

Ages: 3-18 years

These swimmers must be very comfortable in the water and have a fairly good grasp of freestyle. We will work on endurance and coordination of all strokes during this program.

USS Swim Team

Ages: 3-18 years

This program is for those swimmers desiring a more competitive option. The swimmer must know all the strokes. The goal is to become an elite swimmer competing at National levels.

Recreational Swim Team

Ages: 3-18 years

These swimmers must be very comfortable in the water and have a fairly good grasp of freestyle. We will work on endurance and coordination of all strokes during this program.

USS Swim Team

Ages: 3-18 years

This program is for those swimmers desiring a more competitive option. The swimmer must know all the strokes. The goal is to become an elite swimmer competing at National levels.
